HONOURS/AWARD CITATION:-

DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT MEDAL –  ” At POZIERES on the 25th of July 1916, when the infantry on the right were wavering, having had many casualties through shell fire, he put his gun and tripod over the parapet; ordered the infantry to hold their ground  and opened rapid fire with the gun. The position was held. He was soon after badly wounded. PTE MORGAN’S prompt action  under Machine Gun and shell fire  undoubtedly saved a critical situation “.
